Ex workmate of my wife who works setting up networks etc has taken said PC to his work and dismantled and says it is the Mobo.

Ok, the PC dude said that he reassembled, updated the drivers etc for the new mobo and onboard graphics and audio did some testing and it all appeared fine.
Left it to 'burn in' and it shutdown after an hour.
Tried again and same thing.
Basically after an hour it would shutdown.
So he retested everything and narrowed it down to CPU although he said he had never had a case where the CPU worked for an hour and then shutdown.
Said it was usually the case that a damged CPU just didn't work.
Weird.
Anyway all fixed now.
