Then my conclusion on the Pinnacle problem would be, maybe version 7 isn't compatible with your computer. You're running win2k right? Was there a specific reason you wanted to use Pinnacle? As I understand it, Nero will do the burning you want.

I have some mp3 files that I wanted to convert to a format that can be played on any cd player, which, Nero can't do. That is why I wanted to mainly use Pinnacle.
Then I suggest you get a mp3 to wav converter. I believe .wav files is the standard for songs, if I'm wrong on this someone will correct me, I'm sure. ;) Then use Nero to burn the .wav files. There are many different converters out there but one I found is called BulletProof, or simply BPS mp4 to wav converter. I haven't tried this because I don't have any of those files on my computer.
