Hmmm, XoftSpy is not my first choice for adware removal however if you want accurate information about any antispyware app, go here (Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites) and check out the program. Odds are that it has already been checked out by experts

I was about to post the same as AnnMarie. Although it may not be suspect anymore, its certainly not my first (or second, third, fourth etc.) choice for anti-spyware programs.

I downloaded one I knew was bad that they found out about here.

It wouldn't uninstall. Well, it did but out of spite it ripped out system files. Making my OS unstable.Ahhhh Good times!

I scanned a computer with this software today and it found several "severe risk" items. However when I followed the path to where Xost Spy said these items were, they were not there. So, I and Spyware Doctor. It did not find these items but foun 3 others. I removed the 3, ran Spyware Doctor again and the computer came up clean.

It would be best to start your own thread since this one was originally two years old and then resurrected a few months ago. Xsoft spy was once known for false positives meaning that it's not at the top of my reliability list so I'd be disinclined to believe anything it reports. If you're still unsure whether your computer is free of spyware then I'd suggest having a look at this thread..

Under no circumstances would I advise anyone to use XoftSpy. Its reputation (all bad) precedes it, and I have yet to see anything to prove otherwise.
