Ah well. I tried the CPU in it again that I tried last time except now with correct voltage settings. It appears the CPU is fried. Or at least the I/O part is it seems to me. Because eventually it just causes the hard drive to barf on itself. And then I get the registry error. This kind of makes sense to me if its I/O part is running at 1.5volts or whatever and the rest is running at 3.3volts and I was pumping 3.3volts throughout both splits it seems logical the I/O part is the part that is going to get damaged. So I guess I'll buy another Pentium MMX and run it fresh with the CORRECT voltage settings this time. If that doesn't work I'm shoving my face thru the computer monitor.
