Hang tight and be patient. Yes the post counts can be manually adjusted. Have no idea if BJ will do it or not. It’d be an all day project and is probably on the bottom of his list for a while.
I’m sure the add banners on the right are one of the reasons for the software switch so we’ll have to get use to it.
Lost 3,000 even. They were there last night when I was posting.

Oh well, tis funny though :D
At least this switch so far has had the least mess up I have seen so far.
I lost about 165 posts, other than that the transition was smooth.
If you want to see your post count without doing a "test" post, click on "members" at the upper right, then find your user name. ( I don't see post count in "user cp" section, unless I'm missing it.)

Post counts can also be seen by clicking on the User Profile button.

I'm the editor-in-chief of internet.com and am checking in to let you know we're working on the post count problem.
Last night, we did a conversion of the old message base and user registration database from UBBS to vBulletin. During the conversion, something broke and so we had to switch sooner than we planned. (We were planning to give everyone notice). There are still a few bugs we think we can fix (some duplicate posts), but we're not sure if we can fix the post counts; we will try.
A small number of messages were lost -- those that were posted Monday night (east coast, US time), and so post counts should be showing up as what you had at roughly 8 pm EDT. If your count is way off, you're one of the people who's post counts were corrupted. Give us a few hours to see if we can restore that DB. If not, BIG JOHN will try to accomodate you by resetting your totals.
Sorry for the disruption. We have found vBulletin is a much better performer and we've migrated other large communities without problems in the past. Things should settle down pretty quickly.
Gus, thanks for letting everyone know:)

Just Checking my count. So far I like everything , except that I can't just look at the top to change from one forum to another, like win98 to win XP.:p Just noticed that the smilies can only go at the end of whatever sentence you are currently working on:D used to be able to go back and put them wherever.

This is the e mail reply I got on this subject.
Dear Member,
When we imported all the threads we did not import any closed or
discarded threads. This is why you're post count has gone down. Sorry for
any inconvenience. Thanks for using VirtualDr Forums.

Look at the bottom of the page, to the left. Use the Forum Jump menu to navigate around. Also, at the top of the page is the path you followed to get where you are, and you need only to click on that part of the path you want to return to.Quote:

Once you get used to vBulletin, it's excellent!
Well, I lost all of mine, too. :) I was up to over 600. Maybe at least some of them will show back up. (Junior Member AGAIN )
I only lost about 400. It serves me right for not visiting in over 6 months! :D
