So you say, Dodge...so you say. Hmmmmmmm.... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Don't I recall correctly that you had this strange aversion to motherboards? Something about "posts about them should be wiped off the face of the earth"? Was that you, hmmmmmmm?
To finish off the area regarding form factors, one not mentioned is the uATX, better known as the microATX.
To get complete specifications on form factors, following link takes you to organization responsible? for such things: Click HERE.

Nah...it's aliens...gotta be aliens...aliens with aversions to motherboards....The National Enquirer said they had an Earthbase in Kentucky somewhere....

Hi
Observations;
A motherboard is suited for a range of CPU.
And, what kind of memory modules it accepts is an important factor in your choice of motherboard/CPU combination.
Considerations;
When you decide on a motherboard, you have to know a few things.
What do you want to do with your computer?
Home use? Kid’s use?
Or is it for BIZZ?
Is it going to be used Strictly Bizz?
Is it for small bizz?
Home Bizz?
Maybe even Show Bizz?
How many expansion slots do you need?
What kind of devices do you intend to use?
Do you still need ISA?
Must it be an all singing all dancing multimedia monster?
Is it for a heavy gamer?
Or is it for everyday office use and email?
Do you have a flatbed scanner?
Or do you intend to get one?
You gonna do Sound editing?
Video editing?
Photo editing?
Is it a first or second machine?
These considerations will affect your choice.
That, and available budget…

Isn't There Always "something entirely different" we'll need to reconsider?
Kind regards, Jaak.
Good list of questions above. But you forgot a few...budget-wise:
Is my wife dead set on buying a new sofa and could care less about computer upgrades?
Does she really read the credit card bill, or just give it a cursory glance?
Does the car need new brakes or can I get by for another month putting my foot out the door to slow down?
Can we get by eating just beans and rice for a month or two?
Do I really need that engraved, gold-plated CD-ROM drive or am I just being a little bit greedy?
Do my kids really need to go to college? Perhaps they'd like this computer instead when I'm ready to give it up....
These and other pertinent questions must be answered.....
*Silence....they're in awe...as in "Awwwwww shut up, bistro!!!"...
Next set of questions, greengoose1? Hurry... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

Play it safe and just get the sofa anyways.
Contrary to rumors, back injuries does not happen the most at work!
It's all those times when spouses gets mad and you-know-who spent time on the sofa!

1. Can get quite a few of the missing posts back. Wnat them?
Since they were recovered, I'd say just link to them with a caveat as to what happened. Folks can read up until everything went haywire.
2. Did VirDr archive about the time this happened?
No. They were busy with the darts game down in the basement...
3. Did two posts hit at the same time?
Could be. It's a theory debated at the Los Alamos Laboratories that if two or more posts hit exactly within 2.568 milliseconds in consecutive sequence to each other, it could open a mini-wormhole and suck in 8 to 12 other posts and they end up in a Lonely Hearts chat room in a parallel dimension. Einstein wrote about this in his doctorate thesis: Light Is Really Fast and Other Observations.
4. Did we do something wrong?
Why? Do you feel guilty? Blame it on society...everyone else does.
5. Was Dodge involved?
No. Dodge is NOT guilty. Not sure if it's "by reason of insanity" or what....
6. What do you think? I don't want to spend time and then something like this happens. You all don't want to waste time either. I know the busy schedules some of you have.
I was very busy...but I dropped my hobby for VDr: collecting paintings-on-velvet of Elvis.
7. For those of you that have been here longer than I have - ever see anything like this?
Haven't seen one like that since '41, when we lost 6 posts...FDR was asking for what to do about "that Churchill fellow". Never did get my reply to him....
