Believe me darlin I don't like it either.... I got spoiled living in Texas for a year .... I did NOT miss winter.... the conditions are so severe here I tend to become a hermit... I don't like even going outside, let alone drive in it :mad:
I like to be able to curl up in a nice warm place :D
Well it's even easier to do that here. There's precious few places that don't deliver whatever you want, right to your apt. door. I don't have to go out at all if I don't wanna. Bout the only place I can think of that doesn't is Rite Aid.
....... you are lucky ... the only place that delivers here is Rocco's Pizza ... Now granted I like pizza ... but you can only live on it for so long :D
That's the one part about living in the city I would love ;)
Well like i said, I'm a city boy, born and raised. There's lots of things I love about living here. Not owning or needing a car, having virtually everything I could need within a 4 bl. radius. My local pub is on this block. I could crawl home without wearing holes in the knees of my trousers :D

Well the trade-off is, if you want to shop yourself (instead of having delivery) you have to walk 3 blocks with the bags. Of course the exercise is good. So is living on the 5th floor of a walkup bldg. Gives you legs of doom!

Might be hard at 1st if yer not used to it. But I'm 45, smoke, and I can get up 5 flights of stairs in half a minute. Believe it or not, you DO get accustomed to it.
Well as you now know I am 42, smoke and 1 flight kills me :D
LOL, like i said, at 1st, maybe. Then again when I moved in here i was 36 so I got accustomed to the stairs well before I hit my 40s, or before they hit me, I can never keep that straight.
lmaooo... Ya gotta watch those stairs when they strike back .... they can pack a punch ;) I found that out on a couple tipsy nights way back when :D
It can be interesting navigating them after 6 or 8 but usually I'm fine. The days when I'd occasionally wake up in my clothes are long behind me. After a certain age the body just says "the heck with YOU bud!" and just rebels.
Snow - I'd have to drive about 6 hours south in Winter to find snow.
We're about 1/3 into winter here in Sydney and today is a Fine and mostly Sunny 18c - probably as warm as the average UK summer day LOL
They have no summer in the UK. They have winter, and July.
