That's odd because I think it was the transporter even in the pilot. Anyway, good one. You're still it 'cuz I didn't guess it.

You feeling any better JP?
oddly, yes. Odd because it's near bed time.
Good... I'm glad you feel better http://redkittiekat.com/p9/Fm.gif
But no.... http://redkittiekat.com/p9/Pillow_Fight.gif ... before bed
..... the feathers make a mess :D
It struck me as either a continuity gaff or perhaps confirmation of something I heard awhile back....that the early first season shows were out of sequence when they finally aired because of delays, money, staff changes or some other reason.Quote:

Okay, back to Captain Kirk and the women in his episodic TV life.
What about Gem the mute? although I think she leaned more toward McCoy, so maybe not. I question whether Sylvia belongs on the list, considering that Kirk was only trying to get the "transmuter". Another borderline-Kirk-relationship episode was the one where they were building robots for three of the dead race whose consciousness was held in those spheres and his body kissed....who was it? I think it was the same actor who played Dr. Polaski in NG, who I believe was also "Mira" the blind empath in the sensor dress in the episode with the guy in the box, that if you looked at him you went nuts. Sorry. I'm not very good with names of episodes.
Chas
No, I don't think you could draw any romantic lines between Gem and any of the main characters.
Yes, Diana Muldaur played both Miranda Jones and Dr. Ann Mulhall
Ok, name the epi; "I've heard it was.................similar"
That was one of the fun things about Star Trek, seeing the same actors come back. I would be interested in knowing more about Gene Roddenberry's wife, who played the nurse in the original series, and then the outrageous (I'm not going to attempt to spell her first name) mother of counsellor Troy in NG. She was fabulous.
I wonder if the series became a bit like Batman, where actors loved to do bit appearances.
Chas
His wife, Majel Barrett, also played "Number one" in the original pilot.
She was also in a few episodes of Next Generation too - I think ;)
No one knows the last question?
Sorta......
It was the one with the Roman-style culture...but I give up trying to remember the name.https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Also...since it was mentioned about what actually qualifies as a Kirk romance...there is also Rayna, the android he didn't find out about until the end. Does it count since she was a cold mechanical machine? I know everybody has dated at least one cold "machine" in their life (perhaps even married one).....but this was a real machine. :D
Yes, imo, Rayna counts, good catch. Bread and Circuses was the episode, but you had the right one so you're it LOL
Was that called "Requiem for Apollo?" That's stuck in my mind.Quote:
