I'm not sure when it started but for at least few days I'm not getting any email notifications.
I'm sure you won't mind if I mention your address is @Comcast to see if other Comcast users are having the same problem.
Look in your spam folder and if nothing is there find Comcast's - "please unblacklist this address" section.
That or use a Gmail account.
If you read through the dozens of similar topics in the Feedback section you'll find this issue is always on the ISP side.
Very possible and I had similar issue with Comcast on another forum.
Filled out Comcast form just now. Will see.
hmmmm. I didn't get an email from your post...
I did get an email letting me know I received a PM...
If anyone is reading this - please do a test post. Thanks..
1 each test.
Looks like it took 11 minutes to get the email...

Hello Steve R Jones,
Train has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - No email notifications for me - in the Feedback forum of Virtual Dr Forums-Computer Tech Support.
This thread is located at:

Here is the message that has just been posted:

1 each test.

Another test.
Sometimes it takes days with Comcast. Just my experience.
Yeah. I changed email to gmail but it didn't help.
I got 1 email notification but nothing from this topic.
Edit: I got email notification from this topic so it looks like changing to gmail worked for me.
Now, on Comcast form I need to enter VDr. email server IP address.
What is it?
Should be listed in the email properties.
I got this one for whatever reason.
Is this it?
Received: from mail4.swiftpost.net ([70.42.22.7])
From the emails I get from VRDR the server's IP looks like 70.42.22.7
Oh, btw, I changed back to Comcast so I'm not 100% sure it's them.
I got one notification out of 3.
I got one for Train reply, nothing for fink reply and nothing for one reply in malware removal forum.
Filled out Comcast form again anyway.
Test time then.
From Comcast:
Quote:
Blocklist Removal Response: After investigating the issue, we have found that the IP you provided for removal is currently not on our blocklist.
IP Address Submitted:
70.42.22.7
When Iping swiftpost.netI get70.42.23.252(which is also a QuinStreet IP: 70.42.22.0 - 70.42.23.255).
So, are our IT people checking this issue out?
They will be today. (monday)
http://discussions.virtualdr.com/
I don't think it's Comcast because I got 2 email notification today (out of 5)
I'll maybe have more tomorrow... I've been chatting with the IP people and testing the system.
But little things like if you are logged onto the site when someone posts - you won't get an email that you would have had you not been logged in. The system is smart enough to know you're already here.
I think maybe using two computers at home and work may play a part as well.
EDIT: I might have to kill that annoying animated gif;)
Logged in or online?
Some have been logged in for years.
Zero out of three today.
Nada.
Is there anything being done in this matter?
Broni - hang tight. We have a few much larger issues going on right now that is taking up a lot of time from everyone.
No problem :)
I got this email notification though...
I do believe the system is working as designed.
That, and the email that does get sent out states:
There is a thread on a sister site that I am subscribed to. Someone posted for the first time in a few days and BOOM, I got an email. Two other people chimed in and the original someone posted a second time. I only got the one email....Quote:
There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.
I think that once upon a time, I would have gotten an email for every reply.
Odds are very good that my posting here will generate and email to Broni...unless he happens to be on the site now or at least has a tab open to VDR..
I didn't get any email notification about Steve's reply nor another one in malware removal forum so no, there is still something wrong.
They're coming in to me on Gmail.
I got one for Broni's reply.
For me it's just spotty.
Last night I received one from my malware removal forum but nothing from this topic and again nothing from another reply from the very same malware removal forum I got one before.
But if I'm receiving an email every single time I should be, wouldn't that indicate VirtualDr's board (vBulletin) software is working exactly as it should be?
If there is something blocking/redirecting email after it has been sent from VirtualDr to you, I don't know of anything that VirtualDr might be able to do.
I wasn't on line very much yesterday... But this morning I received an email that quoted Broni's last post.
Maybe Broni needs to switch back to Gmail.
EDIT: I've ask the IT person to push out an email from within the control panel as a test. It might come from a sister site but the test would be valid.
No single notification for me today.
I'll try Gmail for couple of days.
Steve...can you PM me with 100% valid mail server IP taken from your IT people?
I'll try to hit Comcast again.
The test mail was sent to you almost 4 hours ago. Have requested the IP.
I'll be going offline in an hour so not sure how the timing will work out.
I got this one through Gmail.
I bet that will make a believer out of you;)
Sent you a PM.
Gmail works for now.
Filled Comcast form again.
If they reply for the third time it's not their fault I'll call SOBs.
