Do you have a $ amount that you would like to spend for your new computer?
right now i did choose all what i need from [newegg.ca] total 364.95 . at my door 464.00 .
i will send you the list a all the parts .but it is really small because i had to reduce the to get it in one page to show you .
next post
really hard to see .try your best .
for me it is to macth the motherboard with the cpu that i have a small problem .
is this any good for what i do [BIOSTAR COMBO6S3B AMD Sempron 130 AM3 NVIDIA MCP68S Micro ATX Motherboard/CPU Combo
Item #: N82E16813138323
Now as for the fans
Cooling System
80mm Fans
80 mm Blue LED side fan
120mm Fans
2 x 120mm top fan
1 x 120mm front fan
1 x 120mm Rear fan
Seems the case comes with
80mm Blue LED side Air Intake Fan
• 120mm Silent Rear Exhaust Fan
• 2x120mm Top Fan and 1x120mm front fan
• Large See-thru Side Window
Newegg shows the fans

Save some money.
And I would get at least a dual core CPU.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...name=Dual-Core
A dual core allowed me to scan in pictures 4 times faster than with a single core.
I could surf the net and have my antivirus scan at the same time too.
Just examples but lessons I learned.
Get a better power supply than the one you've chosen. Cheap PSUs don't seem so cheap when they fail and take out all the other components with them
well am soory about the 80 mm fan .this is not for the new case .it is my case that am using now .
because some of the 80mm fans are fading a little right now .
i started to buy only the 80mm and some laser light and i deceided to build a new pc for pass time .
at 67 you need some to do .
ok now do you know of a cheap combo [motherboard and a dual core ].
i will wait to receive the new case and look at the fans .i thing that they are not all led fans .
so maybe i will have to buy some led fans for it .don't know yet .
if you look at the side window there is room there for at least 3- 80mm fans to add in that window .
this case is really well build if you read all the reviews .
buy the way i cant not buy from [newegg.com] only newegg.ca .but it is basicly the same stuff .maybe a little sheaper there .com
about this is it any good for me [B69-0422 ::GIGABYTE M68MT Dual Core Barebones Kit - GIGABYTE M68MT Motherboard, AMD Phenom II X2 550 BE, CPU Cooler, Patriot 4GB DDR3 RAM, Seagate 1TB HDD, Thermaltake V2 ATX Mid Tower Case .
now all i have to do is transfer the hole thing in my new case .
331.99.but there is no window that come with it .
that is not a problem i have a lot of vista key's .i hate window 7 .
i never use mine now .only go there to do the update that it .
Yes both newegg places are owned by the same outfit.
Now when you add the exchange rate, not much difference in prices. Except for taxes.
I like this setup a whole lot better.
hi train how are you .
it been a long time .
yes i thing that i will go with the last post .
buy the complite pc and just transfer it to the new case .
now this is at [tiger direct.ca] and i have to send for a rebait of for 35.00 so it bring the hole pc for 299.99 .not bad at all if i ever get the rebait .lol .
299.00 plus my case from newegg.ca about 100.00 to my door .
so 400.00 total .plus tax and some shipping from tiger direct .
what do you thing .
now maybe i sell my pc that i use now .
i have vista and window 7 in it .
i do not dual boot .
i just turn it off and unplug vista and plug window 7 that is it .lol
am sorry .the price is 311.99 less the 35.00 rebait .the total is .276.99 plus shipping and tax .ho by the way also my led power supply .
that is way better .lol
I paid $750 US for this custom built desktop.
Win 7 and the case were about half the cost.
That motherboard and CPU would be $165 for me to buy. So it does not seem you are getting a bad deal at all.
thank train .
i will let you know what i buy .
this week some time .
now i thing that i will get a better mobo .
i will wait and see when i get the board combo .
right now it is not a combo any more because i did buy a better processor .
but it is only for google mainly and my banking .
here is my memory stick [
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI-B
If applicable, check compatibility of memory.
Current memory module(s) are DDR3 not DDR2.
thank you .but it is to late .they ship them yesterday .
so what you are saying it not to good .thet have to be for the price i pay for them 69.99 .
now i am looking at buy a board .
i did buy a combo but it no good .to sheap .
so i will send you a few of them .
what about this board[ MSI 760GM-E51 AM3 AMD 760G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Number of Memory Slots: 4×240pin
Memory Standard: DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600(OC)
PCI Express 2.0 x16: 1

oe what about this one [Gigabyte GA-M68M-S2P Desktop Motherboard - AMD - Socket AM3 PGA-941 - Micro ATX - 1 x Processor Support - 8 GB DDR2 SDRAM Maximum RAM - Floppy Controller, Serial ATA/300, Ultra ATA/133 (ATA-7) RAID Support Controller - 1 x PCIe x16 Slot
I'd go for the Gigabyte myself. They are by far my favourite brand :)
If using DDR2,
The MSI can not be used.
here is my kit .i know it is a ddr2 .my bad.
CASE RAIDMAX|SKYLINE BK ATX-948WB R.
BIOSTAR N68S3+ AM3 NVIDIA MCP68S Micro ATX AMD Motherboard.
Western Digital Caviar Green WD7500AARS 750GB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s.
APEVIA See-Through ATX-AS500W-BK 500W ATX12V Power Supply
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPI-B

chrismass tree .lol .i love light .
at 67 you need some to do .
i did spend about 1500.00 on my truck camper .so why not on a computer .
i could sell my pc for about 450.00 now i guess .i have vista and window 7 in it .but this was my fisrt build and i like to keep it .i put it back in is box .original box from 2006 .lol.
i will die poor anyway .lol who care right
Build what we want and I agree at our age why not. I be 68.
But I like to travel and that takes money too.
As for hanging on to old computers, I gave that up a few years ago.
talk to me about traveling a week ago i did go up north [northbay ] from wallaceburg .with my camper on the truck it cust me 194.00 just to go up in gas .
by the time i came back home i had spend 430.00 in gas .a dem computer .lol .
but i did cross in quebec to buy some french stuff that i cant not find here .
then when i got there i could not trurn my frige on gas some i could not go in the bush at all .it was a little bet of rust that fell on the burner so the gas was not coming true the burner .
all i did is blow the stuff off .now it working fine .but it to late am back .lol
train what do you thing about a board with ddr2 and ddr3 on it .
is that be good to have because i am sure that my processer work on amd2 and amd3 .so i be needed is a set of ram for the ddr3 slot .
here is the board [ASRock N68C-S UCC AM3/AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Limitations of that board.
*DDR3 and DDR2 are supported separately.
**DDR3 memory is only supported by installing AM3 cpu.
I do suggest you read the manual before you purchase that board.
http://www.asrock.com/mb/manual.asp?Model=N68C-S%20UCC
6 2 x 240-pin DDR2 DIMM Slots 20
(Dual Channel: DDRII_1, DDRII_2; Yellow) 21
7 2 x 240-pin DDR3 DIMM Slots 22
(Dual Channel: DDR3_A1, DDR3_B1; Blue)
4. DDR2 and DDR3 memory modules cannot be installed on this
motherboard at the same time.
CPU support list.
http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=N68C-S%20UCC
So you can find you cpu and know which ram to use.
this is my cpu that is coming tomorrow [ AMD Athlon II X2 265 Regor 3.3GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX265OCGMBOX
so it will do for the drr2 and ddr3 i thing
ok trian here is a good one for .
now this is my board [N68S+]here is the question .
cant i run athlon 64x2 with my cpu [AMD Athlon II X2 265 Regor 3.3GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor ADX265OCGMBOX
thank you
Looks like it will work out. But as this applies.
*If you use a AM3 / AM2+ CPU on AM2 chipset motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200 MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s), but the CPU frequency will not be influenced.
so what you are saying is i will loose speed right .
what if i buy the black cpu [95watts] .
like i said i not to good at pc .but you did teach me 95 % of what i know since 2006 .
i wil send you the cpu that am taliking about .
very custly
this here [AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition Callisto 3.2GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Desktop Processor - C3 Revision HDZ555WFGMBO
The cpu is fine, but the motherboard is a AM2, and that is where slowdown is at.
