Which Proxy Server
I have a home ethernet LAN happily connected to the internet using ISDN and using an AnalogX proxy-server. Unfortunately this does not allow one of the users (son) to play games and so I wonder what is the best way round this - have tried Wingate but had great difficulty configuring it and then really terrible trouble uninstalling it (still bits left) so not really happy with this. Am told Sygate is an alternative. Can I adjust AnalogX to play games? Any help or advice will be much appreciated (as always).

Get yourself Windows 2000 or Windows XP and enable ICS (Internet connection sharing). Using this your computer automatically assigns every other computer an IP address. There is NOTHING to configure. I was in your exact same situation, because I wanted to play CS and was using Analog X. Now when I want to play a game or get a new program there is NOTHING to configure, everything just works https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
