File and print sharing, bind to dial up?
I have a peer to peer network running, all systems using win98. The nic's are installed and TCP/IP protocol is being used. The system in question also has dial up networking installed, using the TCP/IP protocol. I have heard and read that the file and print sharing should not be ran on systems that have internet access, because of obvious intrusions into the local hard drive by hackers. Is this true?
Also, can the binding of the file and print sharing be set to only the TCP/IP binding to the NIC? Thanks for the input, and the forum, Hazy
