A very sobering statement, no?

Here's some more food for thought - there's a small island called the Isle of Wight situated off the coast of England. I remember reading some years ago that the entire population of the world would fit on that one island. Standing room only of course https://discussions.virtualdr.com/. Each person would have about one square foot of space.

Knowing the Isle of Wight...and more importantly.. the ferry, if the queue started some Tuesday in March, there would be a definate requirement for the following..
a) Burials at sea, whilst waiting for the rest of the world to arrive,
b)Another ferry boat, and finally
c)Another Customs man at Heathrow!
Have you suggested a perpetual engine, based on people's movements across the Isle of Wight?

I think we would have to posit some kind of instant transportation system - as in Star Trek. And I don't think they'd be moving very far - and would the island sink? Or be renamed the Isle of Weight?
It's like the one about putting a grain of rice on the first square of a chessboard, then two, then four etc, doubling the number each square and ending up with enough rice to cover the surface of the earth to a depth of one foot or some such ridiculous image. Where do they get such chessboards?
