A client of mine wants to convert MP3's to cd audio format & make some music cd's. I'm not much into the music thing but I understand that MusicMatch Jukebox will do that
Whats the general consensus about it?

MMJB is great if audio is all you want. It has no provisions to do data.
It's pretty easy to use, too. It's what I put on when I hear "but Easy CD is so haaaarrrrd" https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Even the most stubbornly clueless users have no trouble with it https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Thanks for the tip.
I appreciate that. Looks like it might be just the ticket
He has Ezcd creator. I think its a piece of cake but some people dont like it.
The real thing is converting the MP3's to cd audio format easily though. I want to make this as simple as possible
Ultimately what he wants to do is to make a cd or two of all of his favorite songs.
Other input would be great

Well, easy cd creator 4 delux comes with Spin Doctor which will automatiacally convers mp3 and burn as cd format.
Also, winamp have wave output, which is just to burn with any burner software to cda audio.

The truth can be made up if you know how...
Thanks Mosaic. Seems like I remember reading about that

Mosaic1,
I'm going nuts with MMJB! I just followed your instructions: disabling all file associations in MMJB settings. Uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Cdplayer.
Went to Registered File Types, and AudioCD is not there now, only CD Audio Track, which lists MMJB as the player?
AudioCD is, however, listed in the Registry: HKCR\AudioCD.
I'm totally baffled!
MMJB comes up OK, but does not autoplay an inserted Music CD, I have to click on CD tab for it to play.

to great and free programs are...
EAC (Exact audio copy)
and
CDex
both programs rip from mp3 to wav or vice versa. you canalso encode cd's to mp3 using the lame encoder. lame in my opinion is the best for encoding mp3's. but to convert mp3 to wav, i just use winamp...its fast.

I managed to get my AudioCD Registered file type back, by making some Registry hacks, suggested by a friend.
I have autoplay now????
I deal with this because I love the program, and it is so simple to burn a CD, etc.
I do use CDex to convert some of my own music from Orion format to MP3 files. It is indeed a fine program.

Cherokee, how did you get autoplay restored?
I had it and then downloaded and installed jukebox - later uninstalled jukebox and lost autoplay. Tried a few things to restore autoplay, but can only do it now with RealJukebox which has autoplay in it. Appreciate any help.
Norm,
I spoke too soon! https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ When I did a cold boot the next morning, after making my claim to success, I had no autoplay??
I love the program, but I absolutely cannot figure out how to get autoplay configured. I have tried all the suggestion made by Mosaic1, usually losing the AudioCD File Type in the process.
As it stands now, I have to open MMJB in order to autoplay an audio CD. I know my file types are incorrect, but when I try to make a change, I get an error.
I would love to find someone who has autoplay configured, and compare the AudioCD and cdafile keys in the Registry, and also the File Types.
If you ever get it configured, please post the info., and I will do the same.
