Video card problem and installing joystick
hi.
I tried installing linux after partitioning my hard disk and ran into these problems during installation :
1.When the installation program prompts me to enter my monitor tyoe,I don't see an exact match. My monitor is LG Studioworks 552V.I see LG Studioworks 56i,54i,etc but not 55-anything.What do I do?
2.I got a message saying Linux cannot detect they type of my video card. And got a prompt asking me to input details about my video card.Since I don't know anything about hardware,I cannot do so.I know this much that my system has Intel chipset.Other than the internal modem, there is no other card on my motherboard, everything else in onboard and Intel. What do I do?
3.How do I install my modem after installing linux?
4.None of the graphics applications like GNOME or KDE(I chose to install both )work.I get only text mode.Is this related to the error detecting my video card?
5.I have a Genius Flight 2000 flight yoke. How do I go about installing it,finding the drivers etc?
Thank you a lot in advance..any help is very much appreciated.
