Is there an X application for LINUX that allows for complete LINUX administraton. I know HP has SAM, IBM has SMIT and SUN has ADMINTOOLS. What's available for LINUX.

It depends on the distribution.
S.u.S.E has YaST for most of the mundane stuff. (IMO it's pretty interesting. of course last time I checked this a console app)
Redhat has Linuxconf, which gives you control over most stuff. (it is far from perfect) On the upside it has a X interface as well as console and web based one.
There could be more, but those are the only two I'm even remotely familiar with.

I'm on the Debian distribution, and as of yet, I haven't found the GUI X version of any of them on my CDs. Oh well.
To anyone interrested, there is a very good admin package that is web based called webmin at http://www.webmin.com. All that's required for install is perl 5.0.
