Hi,
Win95 allows doublebooting with DOS without any modification of Master Boot Record or programs. It's build-in feature of Win95. If you had DOS 6.22 installed prior to Win95 installation you don't need to do anything. Just press F4 while booting and you will get your old DOS version. (To use this function you must have Io.dos, Msdos.dos, Command.dos, Autoexec.dos, and Config.dos files in root directory of C: drive and in Options section of Msdos.sys file must be a line BootMulti=1).
If you not have your old dos files in the root of C: drive already, you can get Io.sys, Msdos.sys, Command.com, Autoexec.bat, and Config.sys files from DOS 6.22, rename it to *.DOS and copy to the root of C: drive. Then you need to add BootMulti=1 line to the Options section of Msdos.sys file of Win95, and you will be able to boot into DOS 6.22 if you press F4 key while booting. (Alternatively you can press F8 and select the last option - Old DOS version.)
But BE CAREFUL!!! If you are using OSR2 version of Win95 it have a bug in boot sector and will not recover after booting to old DOS. If you need the fix for that bug e-mail me.
Good luck, Igor M
