win 2k vs winMe
I am getting a copy of win 2k today!!! I have 3 machines at home currently running winME with no problems..however machine 3 is a test machine that I am planning on installing win2k on this weekend..(waiting for new harddrive to arrive) what are the differences between the 2 operating systems.
I may be interested in dual booting 2k and win 98 or 95 for certain game purposes...please offer any feedback you have.

Don't even bother with WindowsME. There isn't even a point in upgrading if you're just going from Win9x to WinME.

Have no experience of Win Me but because it's a 9.x system it probably crashes a lot. Win2k is based on NT and therefore much more stable.
I recommend a configuration, that I use myself, and that's win95/win2k dualboot. I use win2k the most because it's stabel but some games, most older ones, doesn't work with win2k and then I can play them in win95 that supports every modern game I know of. If i play a really old game i can also start dos in win95. Don't have that much experience of win98 but i think it's just a slover version of 95, if you use win95 B or C.(don't recommend earlier versions of 95)
