configuring new NT4 server

I have a new HP netserver with a 36 gig HD that is to the new home of NT4 server. The question I have for you good folks is are there any partitioning rules that have given you success? right now the HD is blank and I was thinking 2gig for C and the main WinNT boot up files. I was then thinking 14 gig for programs (some pretty big educational programs) and 10 gig for home accounts. That leaves about 10. Any other partitions I should be thinking about or problems I should be worried about? thanks

I prefer, c drive partition to 4GB which is for os. There are some system files needed in c drive. Also, if you install NAV in the system, the guaranteen files will be in c drive. 4GB in c drive is the maximum that Win NT could support.

4GB should be sufficient for the OS and miscellaneous files. IF you have NAV, you should be able to specify where the Quarenteen files go (you can setup a seperate quarenteen server if you want).

If users are storing data on the server (maybe along with user profiles, shared files, etc...) you might want to consider using RAID as well as tape backup.

thanks for your responses. I'd rather not put my eggs in one basket but those with the wallets decided on that now and HOPEFULLY getting a 2nd drive to mirror it before anything major befalls me.
