The CRC error is an indication of a data transmission error. Is there any more to the error message you see? Is anything logged in event viewer?
No I don't get any log messages.
The weird thing is that it doesn't happened all the time. It seems that it only happens when the data is burn to a cd from an ntfs partition, and then it's view from a fat partition. Kiddtek, I'm not sure about it, but I can't find another explanation.
Check the recordable side of the CD-R and check if there is any finger prints or scratches. If there isn't I would recommend purchasing a cleaning CD, you can buy them from most computer stores (try to buy ones with 4 or more brushes as it will clean better)
Also make sure that you do not have any more than 5 sessions on each CD-R or Windows NT will not be able to read that CD correctly.
Hope that it helps.
Please let us know if you fix the problem.
