How do I restore a previous registry (ala scanreg \restore) in safe mode?
Hi Zip, If you mean from the dos menu? Just choose (5)and press enter. At the C:\> prompt type scanreg /restore(forward slash with the space).Press enter.Pick a previous registry from the menu using the arrow keys that says "started" and press enter. Cross your fingers and get a' cup of joe(or brew https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ )..
Oh yeah,if it doesn't do an auto restart,but says your reg has been restored to a previous good one and drops you back at a C:\> prompt,just type "win"(no quotes)at the prompt and press enter...

I'm exhausted.
Tried to help my Mom on the phone (her system got trashed by an 'expert' friend a few days ago - too embarrased to call and tell me). We walked through it together. I restored my registry to a prehistoric date, apparently.
It's either this or I'm gonna reload OS2/Warp https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
