I am redoing my computer this weekend. It currently uses a Dlink DFE530TX NIC to access DSL. I also have a 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 905B-TX that was given to me. Question I want to ask is which do you think is a better card? Thanks in advance!

None is the difference in performance. The dsl is the limiting factor here, speed wise.

Thanks Train,
really just wanted an opinion as in reliability, etc. At work we use D-Link 99% of the time. Just wondering if the difference in price between the two here (about 75 -100 dollars) means very much.
Not really, I use linksys, netgear and darn , can't remember the other brand. Only problems I have had have been operators. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Now at one time, I hear there were some great difference.

I've had a couple of those D-link NICs and they've worked fine. And, for what its worth, they've also remained stable on an overclocked Front Side Bus.
3-com also make good NICs -- and ones often with additional features. But if the function of the card is only to connect you to the internet then those extra features could become a nuisance (by slowing your boot time, etc)
Also, even if the specs on the cards is identical, I think you pay extra for the 3-com name
