Is this legal ?
ok heres the story.
my little sister has windows 98FE (first editon) and i have windows 98se both with cd's and licsence agreement etc...
would i be able to upgrade(i mean format and start again) her computer to windows 98se ?.
i was going to do it anyway but i was just wondering becuase personally i dont give a ---- well https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ i just wantted to start a discussion
i know that the serial numbers work with both versions so it is not as if i am using the same serial on both machines.

A very odd question, you posted, Why not just do it and, not ask the question? But if you are looking for a legal loop hole. I guess if your sister gave you her pc, then you could legally do it, Then you got board with the pc, and gave it back. She would be entitled to what ever was on the pc you gave her.
