I got all the other problems fixed. Went to reformat C Drive at the DOS Prompt, typed in: FORMAT C, it says the parameter is not correct.
??? What could be wrong with THAT? That command has worked before, even on THAT machine!
Anyway, I want to wipe it out. Ideas?
did you try it at the a prompt format c:
or format c: /s to make it bootable

nope not at all, norton will be lost too, unless you have it on another partition.

ok, It's formatted, I have it set to boot from the cd Rom, that has worked before, but no go this time, it flashed the WIN screen and went to the dos prompt. How do I get it to boot the CD Rom win98 CD?

Thanks Again, that page is great, it led me to the MS instruction page. I had never fdisk'ed anything before.., just slapped in the CD and went on with it. What does that do? It made me format again, and choose FAT32 and whether I wanted the drive all one letter, etc, is that all it is?
