Creating Win-10 Recovery Drive - Instructions not consistent?
I found several places on the Internet explaining how to create a Recovery Drive on the Internet including Microsoft itself.
I run the program, but right away I have a problem on the first screen -
The instruction say their will be a check box [X] on the first screen that says -
[X] Copy the Recovery Partition from the PC to the Recovery Drive
Also, if there is no Recovery Partition, then the option will be greyed out.
However, when I run the program it says -
[X] Back up System File to the Recover Drive
So, what about the Recovery Partition? Is that the same as the System Files?
Or am I running the wrong program?
Note it also says that if there is no Recovery Partition, the option will be greyed out.
I'm getting to the Create Recovery Drive by typing that into the Search bar. Is there an alternate way of getting to this program?
This is the Microsoft Site I am using as a guide -
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...recovery-drive
However, the screens on this page do not match what I am seeing on my screen -
http://www.howtogeek.com/131907/how-...-in-windows-8/
Is this perhaps a difference between Win-8 and Win-10?
If I follow the instructions in Win-10, am I going to have very thing I need?
The computer is a DELL Inspiron 3650, which I just purchased from Staples.
Any thoughts? Am I worried about nothing?
