CRM platform

My friend came to me asking for a viable solution.

Objective: his company wants to display data to his clients. Clients will be able to filter to get reports. Clients will also have the ability to update or enter data.

Like this forum, clients would need to register (for free) to use his website. He does not want to host a server.

Question: is a CRM platform will covers this? He was using Quickbase CRM. however, Quickbase requires clients to pay for subscription or registration of usage.

Please feel free to point out a website or platform.
