File copy slows down and esata port
I have two separate issues.
1st, when I copy a 10 gb file from one hard drive to another hard drive, it starts out with a transfer speed of about 450 mb. Half way through the copy, it gradually goes down to about 90 mb of transfer speed. How can I flush the i/o or cache where ever it is? I have already played around in device manager, by checking unchecking the "enabled cache" of the hard drive.
Both hard drives are encrypted. I am on Windows 7 64 bit.
2nd, I have two esata ports. When I transfer a 10 gb file, sometimes it stalls half way through the copy. All internal sata ports work fine, except these two esata ports. I tried switching out cables already and that seems to have helped a little but still stalling sometimes half way through.
