Adblock plus question
When ever I click on the Publishers Clearing House emails I notice they are able to disable Adblock plus on my computer. How can they do that? It infuriates me that they can do it . Way back when when I would start to do the number pics at PCH every now and then I would get a warning from PCH that for the page to run proper I had to disable my ad block program but I ignore it, so they started disabling it themselves and I don't like it. I have windows 7, run adwcleaner, mal ware bytes, jrt, and tfc regularly. Firewall on and run microsoft security essentials.

I haven't seen that happen yet. Is adblock actually totally disabled or is it just that ads are getting through? Can you provide a link to a page that does that?
And just to be clear are you saying that when you click on a link in an email to open a page in a website, when that page opens adblock does not work?
-
I haven't see that either. Are you sure you didn't disable ABP for that domain?
-
ABP changes from red to black when she does what she posted.
-
I open the email from PCH and the ABP symbol in my tray is red. Then when I click a link in the email the ADP icon turns grey saying it is disabled. It did it with win loot until I unchecked the allow some non-intrusive ads in the filter preferences but for some reason it didn't work with Publishers Clearing House.. No I haven't disabled it for this domain or any other.

Can you provide a specific url like fink mentioned?
Which browser are you running? ABP is available on multiple browsers.

It's fine on FF35 and FF31.4 ESR for me. I'm running ABP 2.6.7.

I just clicked http://lotto.pch.com/ and the red ABP icon immediately changed to grey. I just re d/l ABP because it had completely vanished so I assume it is the latest version. Yep it says 2.6.7. I guess I should not go to publishers anymore. Not gonna win it anyway.

Is it possible you've inadvertently clicked disable on that site yourself? What happens if you click to enable it, close the browser and then go back?
-
It will not turn back on until I close pch.com
-
Do you have the adwarning pass through list? I uninstalled it.
The clear out the cookies for that pch.com
-
What is the adwarning pass through list? I don't think I have it.

Open preference, or look at the picture in you email to see what I am talking about, and if you have it uninstall it.
