Will a new Norton Internet Security 2012 from Amazon update to current 2014?

On Amazon I see Norton Internet Security 2012 close to $40.00.

Will this version update to the most current 2014 (or 2015) version during install? I would think Symantec would want their latest version out there for sales and update support.

A few years back, it bought Kaspersky's previous years version and it updated during installation.

Discount Mountain Software has "Norton Internet Security 2014 DOWNLOAD ONLY for 3 PCs" for $34.98 and Adorama has "Norton Internet Security 2014 Version 21.0 Box Pack, 1 Year Valid, 1 User, 3 Pieces" for $43.99

You can generally update Norton Internet Security to the current version at no charge, provided you have a valid registration number when you install it.
