Download IMGBURN - Malware found: MalSign.OpenCandy.7AF

I am trying to download the current IMGBURN from the official IMGBURN website, the website provides many Mirror Sites for the dowload.

For all the Mirror Sites I went to do the download, the .exe file of IMGBURN contains the MalSign.OpenCandy.7AF which according to AVG is a malware, treating it as a threat, and asked me if I want to remove the threat. I did, and the IMGBURN download aborted.

I then Googled what MalSign.OpenCandy.7AF is, and many places confirm that this is a nasty malware, which for its removal in an infected computer may entail re-installing the operating system.

Is there any way around this malware and yet be able to get a clean download of IMGBURN?

If any of you good people here have a source or a download site which provides a clean copy of IMGBURN, please advise.

Appreciate your great help in advance.

Additional Information:

The reason I wanted to download IMGBURN is to use it to burn a Windows 7 ISO onto a DVD.

If you have an alternative - native within Windows 7 - which works, please advise.

I have read the following from Microsoft, it states in the Notes section that the Windows Disc Image Burner cannot be used to burn the Windows 7 Image DVD.

Where do you see that you can't burn the Win7 iso? I think your link says it can't create .iso files, not that you can't burn them.

Otherwise, infrarecorder can burn it.

So Windows Disc Image Burner can create a Window 7 installation disk.

FWIW that program does apparently contain malware.. adware to be specific..

I read this thread and started laughing! :D :D :D AVG calling OpenCandy malware. That's a good one! Amazing how things are different when the shoe is on the other foot.

Yes, OpenCandy can deliver unwanted programs if a user is not careful (this ONLY happens if the user allows it. And unless OpenCandy has changed it's tactics, it's NOT malware. Just sort of a pain in the neck.) But AVG has been using the identical method, trying to install it's AVG Security Toolbar and/or AVG Secure Search in many program installations too. Where is the difference?

In my mind... none!

Someone told me nearly 30 years ago that some of the Anti-Virus developers in the PC market were also developing viruses and spreading them in order to get people to buy their Anti-Virus software,,,

Now it seems the tactics are being deployed.

Same goes for the pharma industry, the food industry, and the weapons industry?
