[RESOLVED] Windows 8.1 0xc000000f error on boot
ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional-M with Windows 8.1 with a RevoDrive (RVDHY-FH-1).
So power on and get hit with a 0xc000000f error. Made a Windows 8 (not 8.1) bootable USB to repair the Windows installation but didn't seem to work. Strange enough, I can boot to Windows 8.1 via selecting the boot menu and selecting OCZ-CACHE-RVHY. Any help appreciated.
First I tried the Automatic Repair, no luck. Then the following commands from the Command Prompt;
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
bootrec /scanos - total ammount of windows installations found was: 0
bootrec /rebuildbcd - total ammount of windows installations found was: 0
I have a feeling it's to do with the driver not loading for the RevoDrive?
UPDATE: I think the issue is with 2 extra drives connected whist Windows 8.1 was installed. I found this post from an OCZ forum;
If the other drive was connected during the operating system install that is where the boot files were most likely put. With only the Revo connected repair the boot files with the Windows install disk.
I confirmed both other hard drives contained Windows 7 installations. As I said I can still boot into Windows 8.1 via the OCZ-CACHE-RVHY boot device. Is there a way I can restore the BCD from within Windows?
