Switch Among Sata Drives
I run a sata cable from my motherboard out to the back of my case. I also run a cable from the PSU out to the back of my case.
I use both (sata cable and power) to switch among sata hard drives. This has been working for years now.
Recently, I have aquired more sata hard drives.
Is there such a thing? I am looking for a bayer of some sort that I can connect all drives to it. I do not need all of them at once but a flip of a switch will power on/off each drive.
I am not looking for something like this (mainly because it is USB)

Would it be something like this?

Actually the pictures of the first shows a eSATA connection. On the back of it.

#2 would mount in the face of the desktop.
You might want to look t something like this.

Thanks Train.
Unfortunately, #1 & #3 (that you provide) will not control the power on/off as well.

#4 may work, however, I would have to attach each drive to each sata port and they would have to be inside the case.

There are 2 on the outside of the case.
That was a example, here are a couple more.

44 port

I do suggest avoiding any raid cards.

Train, sorry if I was unclear.
I am looking for a controller or of some sort that can turn on/off a collection of drives.
For example, if I have four sata drives hook to the controller, I would like the ability to turn on only one drive at a time while the rest gets power off. The ability to turn on/off all four sata drives would work too but it should be at ease where I can just push on a button (of some sort) in the driver bay.
I already have a setup where I can run a sata drive externally but when I want to run the others, I would have to stand up and unplug the sata drive and replug.

I would mount the switch in a box or on a board and use it. Just so it did not slip around. The board is a modification I would do now I understand what you want to do. Anyway protect it from dust and junk.
