Actually, I think they already did. Sinofsky is gone. Now if they could just hire a few time and motion study experts, maybe they could come up with a user interface that actually works faster and more efficiently, instead of one that just "looks new and improved".

To me, the Windows 8 'Metro'/Swinging Tiles interface looks like it was designed for:
Me stupid! Can't read! Need'm big push buttons!

Most analysts say that there are two main reasons Windows 8 is not so popular:
1. Missing Start button.
2. No setting/option to boot straight to Desktop.
