[RESOLVED] Re:Internal Battery

Hello all, I have a HP G60 214 Windows Vista Laptop.

On start up, it gives a message saying the storage of in the battery is low, I presume it means the internal cmos battery??

Where is the battery in the Laptop please??

What battery do I need.

Do you see that message after Windows has loaded? If so, (or even if not), it is likely referring to the main laptop battery, not the CMOS battery.

Hello jdc2000 and all, I see it 10 seconds after turning computer on. Stays for 10 secs then windows starts to load up.

Since you failed to mention the complete model of the laptop in question,
Search for the Maintenance and Service Guide at the HP website.

It should state location of battery(s).

I believe the HP G60 CMOS Battery

Hello Shinma, Spywaredr, will buy and replace the cmos battery first, see if that fixes it.

I'd be a bit surprised if it's the CMOS battery though. They usually last several years.
