Walking Dead

Anyone else here a fan of The Walking Dead?

I'll watch anything with zombies, but this series is particularly good....

I've seen clips from the show and it does look good. I just don't have the time to watch any more tv than I already do... not that I watch a lot but between sports and occasionally the food network my time is already more than spoken for.

I'd also really like to watch Game of Thrones but it would just take too much of a commitment of my free time.

I did make a TV only day available recently but used it to re-watch all the Lord of the Rings movies to get ready for The Hobbit which will be out soon.

Normally I stay clear of series that require you to not miss an episode. Don't like "having" to watch a show lest you be lost if you miss one. Fortunately, AMC repeats episodes many times allowing for the occasional missed one. Years ago I got into the X-files and was ultimately disappointed by the time the series ended. Felt like I got strung along for years. Told myself I would never do that again.....but giving it one more try. Season 2 had bogged down into a soap opera, but this season has the promise of more excitement and wholesale zombie slaughter. And one can never have too much zombie slaughter....

I got caught up in a rerun of "The Lost Room" a couple of years ago and had to watch the whole series. Fortunately it was only 3 two hour episodes so I wasn't terribly inconvenienced time-wise. But it really is a great story.. thought provoking, very mysterious (without taking the overly enigmatic, self important route like X-files did) and well written with a top notch cast.
