Windows Media Player

How can I start the Windows Media Player included with Windows 7 without clicking a file?
I have the Power DVD 9 app but want to examine Windows Media Player's options.
Windows Media Player is not listed in my ALL Programs List.
Double Clicking the WMPDMC file doesn't open Windows Media Player
Neither does right-clicking and selecting Run as administrator.

Another question:
When I click Start, Help and Support, I get the HP Help and Support Screen and Menu. How can I change this to get the Windows 7 native Help and Support?
I don't like the HP Help and Support on my laptop, it hasn't helped me find solutions at all.

And it never will.
The executable file for Windows Media Player is wmplayer

I tried to use that wmplayer in the run box and it said the following
Windows cannot find wmplayer Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again

Did you try searching for wmplayer, in the search box, not run.

Provided Windows 7 was installed in the default location,
Windows Media Player should be located in the following:

C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player\wmplayer

Click the Start button, in the "Search program and files" box, start typing in the word media and you should see "Windows Media Player" appear in the list at the top. Click it.

I have both of the directories called Windows Media Player, but the wmplayer.exe file is not listed in either one.

I wonder if I uninstalled it in the past.

I have a file in a subfolder of Windows Media Player called "US"

In that folder I have a file called wmplayer.exe.mui

No wmplayer.exe anywhere on the computer

To see if Windows Media Player is enabled:

Click the Start button,
click Control Panel,
click Programs,
click Turn Windows features on or off, and then
click the [+] (plus sign) to the left of Media Features.

The little box to the left of "Windows Media Player" should have a check mark in it.

Thanks spywaredr...that was the problem...checked the box and was able to start media player from the start menu once again.
