Good job too. I have a triple monitor setup on my main rig.
I too run three monitors and it may very well be a good job--but--I don't think it will help me as this will be the first OS (except ME) that I will not be using. If any one can give me a reason(s) to upgrade to 8 for Desktop use only I would appreciate your comments.
The "under the hood" improvements are pretty worthwhile. I know where you're coming from as far as the UI is concerned, but people who have spent plenty of time with it are reporting that Metro really isn't too bad even on a desktop.
My plan is to try Win8 on my laptop for a while. If I find I can get to grips with Metro, then I'll build a new desktop rig at the end of this year and put Win8 on that.
FWIW, I did find that I soon got used to the Unity interface in Ubuntu Linux, which had a similar amount of howls of outrage at first, and now I don't mind it at all.
6 weeks works out as a good test/trial time for things like that. Anyway What I found to be a good time frame for me.
Nobody likes change, just make a backup, and trail run, if its horrible nobody is holding a gun to your head.
