Migrate from Server 2003 to Server 2008

Hello,
Is there a way to replace a Windows 2003 SBS Server with a Windows 2008 server without having to create a new domain and add the computers to the new domain? We have a dying server and bought a new one. There are only 4 workstations so its not the end of the world to have to create a new domain but it would be much easier to just replace one server with the other.

Note: Another alternative might be to migrate the existing server to new hardware with backup and restore software that is capable of restoring to new hardware, then upgrade it once it is on the new hardware.
