[RESOLVED] New Build - Possible Motherboard/CPU problem
My problem is when I power on my PC, the motherboard won't POST. I noticed that the CPU LED light is on, but I'm not quite sure that is the problem. I read feedback from others on Newegg who bought the same board and mentioned similar problems. They switched them out with parts that they knew worked in other PCs and still had LED/POST problems. Though, when I was seating the CPU in the socket, when securing the latch/door(not sure of the actual technical term), I had to push down harder than I was comfortable with to lock it into place. I could hear pressure being applied to the CPU as I was doing this. It was a very soft sound, but still noticeable. I'm hoping I didn't damage the socket pins when did that. Also, looking at the CPU from the side after the latch was in place, it didn't look like the door was as flush as it should be. The last time I actually replaced a processor, there was only a simple latch there, so I'm not quite sure I seated the processor correctly.

Also, not sure if this is relevant, but there is a Power and Reset Switch on the motherboard. Both are lit, but the Reset Switch is green and the Power Switch is red. Not sure if the Power Switch is supposed to be green or red.
