removing memory stick from one pc to one other pc

hi i like to know if i cant take out my 2 memory stick from the pc am using now and put it in my new build but only for a week .then put them back in pc that i took them .
you see i did order a motherboard .a hard drive .a cpu.and 2 memory .
now all my parts be here in .w. this week .but the 2 ram stick only be here on tuesday .next week .
so like to set it up using my 2 stick that i have in this pc that i use now .
now if i do that is that could do some to my set up on this computer .
or cant i just take one stick out and put only one stick in the new one .
my new board only have 2 slot .

by the way .i am on 32 bits so 4 gb is what they call for .
so do you thing that one stick would work on each pc for a week .

Usually they will work if, both are DDR3 and your old motherboard or new one isn't dual channel. Some mobos won't boot if configured for dual channel and you only install one module. Check your mobo manual to make sure this isn't the case.

so to be sure i be better to take the 2 module from this pc here [8 gb]and put them in the new one .i know that 32 bit do not show them .only show 3 gb but i have them now .
so let say i put the 2 stick [8 gb] in the new one [computer] then when i receive the other 4 gb next week put them in the pc that i remove the 8 gb .
is that be ok .

by the way did you check the cust of the hard drive today .
my 320 blue carviar is up to 89.99 today .my god i am very lucky that i order it last week .
use to pay only about 30.00 some dollars for that ..
my black 750 is up to over 100.00 right now .i only pay 59.99 a month ago .lol

What you said was you have two modules, making a total of 8 gib, right? One module/stick is 4gb, right?

Check your motherboard manufacture for how to the install of your ram. Some motherboards will allow only module/stick of ram, some won't. In dual channel mode, means two sticks in the motherboard and again, some motherboards won't boot if you only have one module or stick in the slot. This is what I said in my first post. You need to check that the motherboard will allow you to install just one stick.

Which one is your newest motherboard?

According the BIOSTAR motherboard manual, it does not say you can't install only one stick/module. But configuration shows two modules install to make dual channel work as it should.

Tha Asus motherboard will allow using only one module or stick and will still boot. For the Asus, check chapter 1-16 for details on this.

the 2 stick [8 gb] be comming off the biostar mother board .
the new board is the asus [2 slot ] take 8 gb .

the asus will work with only one stick 4 gb right ..
so will read the mother board manual to find out on what slot the only one stick go .

now i will down loard the manual and read it and see what it say

Yes, you would get the manual from Asus. Usually a much larger one, with more than fold out pages.

ok what i like to know is the board over clock at 1600 .
so if i buy 4 gb .1600 .do the board reconice the 1600 with out me going in the bios .
because i am not good enuff to go in the bios .
but i thing that from 1333 to 1600 there is not enuff speed to gain from it right
