For a 5 yr old laptop someone gave me. 30 Gigs is big enough for what I want to do with it (streaming media server for my TV).
Doesn't need to be top spec by any means.. just needs to work. Stores around here sell new ones starting around 45 dollars and I
really can't justify spending more than 25 or 30 (shipping/mail included) considering how much the laptop itself is worth (not a lot LOL)
I made a note to check my stash when I get home. I probably have an older small drive....And maybe a newer 40 giger. (but the 40 might be in a lappy)

Even 20 gigs would prolly be ok. Basic install of Win XP pro plus codec pack and a/v program & not much more than VLC and Winamp = considerably less than 10 Gigs leaving room for page file utilizing .750 G RAM.

Toshiba 10 gig
Hitachi 20 gig (has a dent in the case - i'd guess it will work ok)
