I was making a Win PE 3.1 disk and it said I didn't have a Driver for the PCI Host Bridge. What is the PCI Host bridge and do I need it? I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.
PCI host bridge is designed for interfacing the host central processing unit (CPU) with the PCI bus.
If this is the case wouldn't I see a problem with my computer if I didn't have a driver for this thing?
You could if you were using PCI slots or if the PCI Bridge is used by anything else critical on the motherboard. However, this driver is usually installed as part of the motherboard chipset drivers.
Go into device manager, expand system and find the pci bridge.
Is it there?
In Device Manager there is a Intel (R) 82801 PCI Bridge -244E and it says this device is working properly.
That is what needs to be added .
How?? Hope someone can help out with that.
Train are you talking about adding to my WIN PE disk?
That is what I am thinking. Don't know how to add the network drivers though.
