web history does not move to the search window

Using XP, Firefox and Google

When I click on a web history item, it does not move to the google search window. I presume I am not doing something right, but cannot figure out what.

aob--Is this something new? If so, try a System Restore.

The computer is relatively new. Only used for a couple of months. Do not recall whether it ever worked, but will try a System Restore and get back to you.

System Restore does not make a difference. Went back three months, plus, and still the same problem.

Double click the history item. Single click does not work for me, but double does.

Sorry. Double-clicking does not work, either.
