[RESOLVED] Windows will not update

I had a virus and worked thru all the steps with Broni to get it off. My windows will not update. I went thru all the steps in the link posted in a previous thread about the same problem and it still will not work. I get this error message when trying to update: "The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view, error code 0x80070424."

I have done all the suggestions I can find in the support section of microsoft. Any ideas on how to get the updates to work again? Thanks

Nevermind guys - I found the fix and it is here in case it helps someone else

Start>Run> Type the following & click ok

%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL

Note that command should all be on one line and there's a space after EXE


I have several updates that are downloading now.
