LeBoule, thanks for the link, I've been using Avast for a long time now and it protects me very well.
Yes... comment from me in another thread...

Two new features are "webrep" which is similar to WOT- Web Of Trust and "autosandbox" which allows Avast to run any suspicious program in a sandbox.. a feature which was previously only available in the paid version.
EDIT- It also, unfortunately, drops a gadget on the desktop that tells you your protected and it refuses to go away
even after uninstalling it from the master gadget repository in the Windows GUI. It comes back after every reboot.
I will look for a way to get rid of it permanently. Freakin' annoying.
I'm not the only one displeased with this new "feature".. from the Avast forums..

Method # 1 worked for me, #2 did not.
It looks like whatever this gadget is, only appears in Win 7 ... I have XP Pro SP3 with Avast 6 installed. Seems to work pretty good. I did not enable WebRep .... surprisingly, so far the only program it wanted to sandbox was the HP Gallery (for the HP printer) which I told to run in normal mode. We will see later on what others it may want to sandbox.
I have one Win 7 PC that runs ok on Avast 6 (32-bit) and one that won't (64-bit). I'm waiting until a new version is released before I try again on the 64-bit machine...
