I have an XP computer. There is a folder in my c drive 7023a713ob2454b37. When I open it is lists one folder as amd. I am guessing this has to do with my processor. Now the problem. I was trying to open another folder and it moved it this folder. Now I cannot get this folder out of there. It gives me access denied. Please tell me how I can get this folder out. It is a very important folder for me. I would appreciate any help I can get.
What you need to do is "take ownership" of the "7023..." file and then you should be able to access any subfolders in the normal way with Windows Explorer. Right-click on the folder you want to take ownership of, choose "Sharing and Security", then in the Security tab, click "Advanced". Go to the Owner tab, choose the account that you want to take ownership (usually your Admin account), make sure "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" is checked, and then OK out of the dialogs.

I tried that and I don't have a security tab.. I am reading the link you sent me. I don't have this set up as administrator.
You will need to get Administrator access, or get someone with admin access to do it for you.
I am going through the link. I have adminstrator access. It says I have to boot in safe mode. Now I have forgotten how to boot in safe mode on XP. Can you tell me how to boot in safe mode?
