Over the past few days when I go online an antivirus application attempts to install. I do not allow it but my PC seem to be infected.
I downloaded MBAM to scan and send the scan results but I cannot update it. What do I do?

Try to update in Safe Mode with Networking.
I rebooted in Safe Mode with Networking as you suggested.
When I attempted to update I got this error message:
"An error has occurred. Please report the following error code to Malwarebytes Anti-Malware support team
Error Code: 732 (0,0)"
