I want to print to my home printer while I am logged in remotely to my computer at work. The document that I want to print to my home printer is currently on the work computer that I am remotely logged in to. I am using Remote Desktop.
I can't seem to figure out how to do this.
One method:
Transfer file to home computer.
Use Remote Desktop to control home computer to open and print the file.
Note: If the application you need to open and print the file si not on the home computer (you didn't mention if this is the case or not), then this won't work.

Ok, I finally got it to work. The local printer software has to be installed on both the client and host computers. Once it is installed on the host computer you have to go into the printer properties of the host computer and then go to Ports. Change the port setting to a Port that starts with TS. In my case my port was called TS034. Now I am able to print to my home printer from the computer I am controlling remotely.
Cool....Some printers like the Multi print/fax/scan can be difficult if not impossible to get to work...
