I would like to replace my built in Network Adapter with a card. The built in is a Intel(R) 82566DC-2 Gigabit Network connection. I'm using Windows 7Pro 64 bit. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What router or cable/DSL modem are you using? What make and model of computer? Laptop or desktop?
My computer is a HP d5200t and I'm using Windows 7Pro 64 bit. My router is a WRT54GL ver. 1.1 and my cable modem is Linksys BEFCMU10 ver. 4.
Not sure why you are wanting to disable the built-in adapter, but since you have Linksys devices, this might work for you:

Is that a 32 or 64 bit device or would it make any difference.
Another NIC,
64 bit version. Note: Either version workd with Win 7 64 bit.

Thank You to everyone for your replies. It gives me a few to check on.
Note that the 64-bit adapter that I posted a link to is for a 64 bit PCI slot. Chances are your system does NOT have one of these slots.
