Horrible Disaster: Should be a challange :(
I have a very old laptop (5 years). I know its ancient, but its all i have. Many years ago i went through the computer (not knowing what i was doing) and started erasing things that "didnt sound important" since then i cant update anything. I still have a very old IE (6 i think), i can download new programs but i cant upgrade any of them. I learned to live with this. The bad paft is that when i get an antivirus it helps then i cant update it so it does me no good. The way i used to deal with this is to restore the computer but it doesnt work anymore. I have tried installing the Service Pack for the computer and it never works same with IE and MSN Messenger.
My current problem is the computer is soooo horribly messed up it wouldnt let me on the internet, when i clicked on something it would redirect me. On top of it i had that "Microsoft Security" virus. Last anti virus i ran found about 5 THOUSAND problems with the computer and it still wouldnt let me through to the internet. Now i went through all the instructions to post in this forum and the computer actually got on the internet but i'm sure it wont last for long.....i just want it to be able to update so i can get the new IE and virus protections.
